New Rochelle Downtown BID Presents Program to Inspire Joy and Positivity This Summer
New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District (NRBID), presents “Bloom & Grow in New Rochelle Downtown”, a program encouraging visitors, families and residents to keep joy flowing this summer.
As part of this program, New Rochelle Downtown restaurants are keeping up the positivity goal by offering signature cocktails and mock-tails—with floral essences. From hibiscus to lavender, elderflower to orange blossom your taste buds will be delighted by the variety of floral essence cocktails that have been created by the Downtown Mixologists. With mock-tails such as Dragon Fruit Lemonade and the new Lavender Lattes, for alcohol-free drinkers, teens and kids, there is something for everyone. Available through the entire month of June, these cocktails and mock-tails are both delicious and Instagram-worthy. “We know everyone is blooming again and we are all so ready to be outside doing shopping, dining and visiting in person?” said Karel Littman, Executive Director, New Rochelle Downtown BID. “New Rochelle Downtown is the right place this month for some fun, inspiration--and nice drinks to celebrate.”
Restaurants creating “Bloom & Grow” signature cocktails include:
Smoking Forest: Muddled Rosemary and a Lime,.5oz Rosemary infused syrup, 1.5oz pear nectar, and 2oz Whiskey. Shaken vigorously, double strained over ice. Garnished with torched rosemary, burnt end.
Colombian House:
Sebiscus Spicy Margarita: Hibiscus Liqueur, Jalapenos, Tequila, Hibiscus flower.
Herbalist's Cider: Beer with Lavender and Coriander.
KRAVE Floral Sangria: Sauvignon Blanc, Elderflower liquor, Cointreau, Fresh Muddle Strawberries, Orange Slices, Lemon Slices.
Hibiscus Blueberry Lemonade: Stoli Vodka Blueberry Vodka, Lemonade, garnished with hibiscus flower.
Lavender Paloma: Classic Tequila, Mezcal, Fresh Grapefruit Juice and Lavender Simple Syrup.
The Fiona: Butterfly Pea Tea infused Ketel One Vodka, Lavender Oil, Lemon, Demerara, Californian Bubbles, Gold Dust.
Noma Social Tapas Bar/Restaurant
The Purple Haze: Hendrick's Lunar Gin, Muddle Mint and Lime, Lavender infused syrup, Tonic, Double strained served with a thyme garnish.
Thief of Hearts/Ladron de Corazonas: Brandy (Pisco), Passion Fruit, Chicho Morada (Peruvian) and Cream of Coconut.
Peach & Orange Lemonade: Ketel One Peach & Orange Blossom Vodka, Fresh Lemonade, Club Soda, Garnished with Lemon, Orange and Fresh Mint Sprig.
Rockin' Punch: Tito's, Henessy, Captain Morgan, Malibu Black, Plum Wine, White Rum mixed with Cranberry Juice, Orange Juice and Pineapple Juice.
